For those of you who don’t know, Australia is mourning the loss of one of our most beautiful and talented young dancers. Elizabeth Claro passed away tragically Thursday night 19th October 2006 aged 18yrs. She was an inspiration to all who saw her dance and just recently won her 5th straight Australian Title. All of us here are totally devastated and want to let the whole Irish Dancing Community worldwide to know our beautiful Lilly. Please pray for Lilly and her family at this tragic time.

Our most heartfelt Sympathy's and Condolences go out to all those affected both within and out of the Irish Dancing Community - Especially to the Claro family. Elizabeth was truly a beautiful young lady and will be sadly missed, she will always remain in our hearts and in our thoughts.

One of our fondest recent memories of Lilly is that of her performance in San Diego at the North Americans this year, wearing satin Aussie boxer shorts and refusing to leave the stage! She had just placed 7th at the NAN’s, we will all miss you Lilly, you always were the life of the party, you taught us there is more to life than any petty differences and to love life in all it’s glory.

It has been really overwhelming and great to see all the support shown from not only her own State, but her own Country and all over the World! A true testimony to how many lives she has touched for the better.

Lilly, your spirit will shine through the eyes of any young girl who dons the soft-shoes to do what you loved so much. Forever dancing in our hearts, Rest In Peace again our dearest Lilly. Love you forever and always!
